I'm feeling sad... by a shocking news ---our department gonna be restructured in 20 mins.

we will be divided into...well...at least 4 parts...and sent to other different teams.

this is an end. no just an end to this Marcom deparment (named from my suggestion), this is also an end to our unique mix-culture office life in this company. what's more? the end of my career life here?

maybe it's just a big news to me. cos everyone else seems so acceptable for this. they also turn to comfort me:“ Dont worry. it's normal here. you will get used to such changes."

ya, I will get used to, since I will have my fourth boss 20 mins later in less than 6 month. I'm deadly sure I will be fine in the new team totally. however, have we missed something? the guy sitting next to you, trading you in slavery market? the British accent pulling your mind back to the old passing days? the team meeting in a morning pub? or the lunch in the Blue castle?

in the past two months, I struggled a lot, fought a lot, gave up a lot, in order to staying here, in this team, with these people. cos, I gained so much from them, from working, from everything. maybe, I will go to a better place to learn and develop more, I will get through the regular process of being professional from staying in different groups.

there is always a saying of : "life is going on. "

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear your story. I am sure it must have been very upsetting for you.

This year hasn't been a good year for a lot of people across the globe, especially those are in the countries hit badly by the financial crisis. The public are put into a turbulent situation where all of us have to expect many dreadful changes. Citibank has just had a shocking number of employees (50,000) worldwide sacked! It means there are thousands of job seekers more in the labour market contributing to the worst unemployment rate in years in the UK.

All I am trying to say is that you have been doing better than you thought (despite the frustrating restructuring change in your team). Many people are now just wanting a job for the Christmas, any job...So, friend, you hang in there and keep your chin up! Other people are really not any happier, if not more desperate and depressed.

Not sure what you mean by 'Marcom deparment' -- I am guessing you mean Finance Industry? If so, please have a second thought before you decide to go elsewhere for a better career opportunity. There is probably not so many out there since this industry has the biggest struggle through the economic downturn...

Tomorrow is another day. Things will get better with time, slowly but surely. And you are really doing fine!
