一个解决华硕显示器唤醒休眠失败的办法

我被一台二手华硕 ProArt PA32UCG显示器折磨了很久。
I had been tormented for a long time by a second-hand ASUS ProArt PA32UCG monitor.

它当然是一台很好的显示器，然而无论是它的前任主人还是我，都面临着相同的一个问题：只要它进入了休眠状态，就无论如何也无法将它唤醒，唯一的办法是重启显示器。
It’s undoubtedly a great monitor, but both its previous owner and I ran into the same issue: once it entered sleep mode, there was simply no way to wake it up—except by restarting it.

我使用ChatGPT、Gemini、Grok 做了搜索和深度研究，它们根据自己的搜索结果都得出一致的结论：网上有很多起类似的报告，都是华硕显示器用户，区别在于他们的显示器是其它型号。它们建议我更换 HDMI 线，切换为 PD 连接或者使用雷电数据线，说是有用户报告可以碰巧解决这个问题。
I did some deep research using ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok. Based on their search results, they all pointed to the same conclusion: many users had reported similar issues with ASUS monitors—albeit different models. The suggestions were fairly consistent: try swapping HDMI cables, switch to a PD connection, or use a Thunderbolt cable. Some users had reportedly solved the issue by pure chance this way.

于是我有一段很痛苦的时光，把 Mac 换成 PC，改变电源管理方案，不断更换不同的HDMI 线缆，升级最新固件，诸如此类。然而没有任何积极成果，AI 们认为，这很可能是因为某种设计缺陷，导致有一定几率的华硕显示器就是无法从休眠中唤醒，这纯粹是个运气问题，让我期待下一次的固件更新，也许届时这个问题会得到解决。
So began a frustrating period. I switched from Mac to PC, experimented with different power management settings, cycled through multiple HDMI cables, and updated to the latest firmware. Nothing worked. The AIs concluded that it was likely a design flaw—some ASUS monitors just can't be awakened from sleep. It was pure luck whether yours worked or not. The only hope? A future firmware update—maybe.

今天我非常偶然地解决了这个问题，事情是这样的：
Today, I stumbled upon an accidental fix. Here’s what happened:

我想尝试一下垂直鼠标，但是我又不想花太多钱，因为我不确信自己时候能习惯这种类型的鼠标。于是，我购买了一个非常便宜的有线垂直鼠标 Delux M 618XS 。鼠标到手，我懒得把线接到我的 Mac 电脑上去，于是我直接把鼠标连接到了 PA32UCG 的USB 接口。
I wanted to try using a vertical mouse, but didn’t want to spend too much since I wasn’t sure if I could get used to it. So, I picked up a super cheap wired vertical mouse—Delux M618XS. When it arrived, I didn’t even bother plugging it into my Mac. Instead, I connected it directly to the PA32UCG’s USB port.

奇迹就这样发生了：当 PA32UCG进入休眠之后，我动一下我的鼠标，随意按几下按键，然后 PA32UCG 居然就被成功唤醒了！我重复了很多次，终于确信可以通过这种连接方式，用鼠标直接唤醒显示器！当然，这个过程会略微有点长，可能要 10--15 秒钟，但这个等待是值得的。
Then—like magic—it happened. After the PA32UCG went to sleep, I moved the mouse a bit and clicked randomly... and it woke up! I repeated it several times and confirmed it: connecting the mouse directly to the monitor allows it to wake from sleep. It takes about 10–15 seconds, but it works—and that's a wait I can live with.

我猜想，直接连接到 PA32UCG 上的鼠标会发出信号，而这种信号的确能被显示器接收并且识别，可能这种信号的优先级要比电脑通过 HDMI 线路传来的信号更高。无论如何，让我头疼许久的问题终于得到了解决。虽然我还没有尝试，也许，有线键盘也可以用类似的连接方式达到相同效果，期待有人能够试试。
My guess is that a mouse directly connected to the PA32UCG sends a signal that the monitor can actually detect—perhaps one with higher priority than what comes through HDMI. Either way, my long-standing issue is finally solved. I haven’t tested it with a wired keyboard yet, but maybe that works too. Would love for someone else to try and confirm.

最后，我的这台 PA32UCG 依然存在问题。如果保持休眠状态，它的风扇会自动运行，噪音很让人困扰。如果关闭显示器，那么等到下次重启时，并不能保证每一次都能找到来自 HDMI 的信号。解决方法是等到显示器的启动画面出现的同时，迅速敲击连接到电脑上的键盘，如果时机刚好，那么显示器可以顺利工作。否则，就需要再次关闭显示器，然后重启。
That said, my PA32UCG still has issues. If it stays in sleep mode, the fan kicks in and makes an annoying noise. If I turn the monitor off, the next startup doesn’t always detect the HDMI signal. The trick is to hit keys on the keyboard right as the monitor powers up—get the timing right, and it works. If not, it’s back to turning it off and rebooting again.

在此之前，我已经放弃了唤醒休眠状态的 PA32UCG，每次都用关机-重启的方法让它正常工作。现在，我终于有了一个相对简单容易的办法，谢天谢地。大部分时候，华硕的都产品让人赞叹不已，而有些时候，你很难相信你手上的这台机器竟然是华硕的产品。
Before this, I had completely given up on waking the PA32UCG from sleep—I’d just turn it off and back on every time. Now, finally, I have a reasonably easy solution. Thank goodness. Most of the time, ASUS products are brilliant. But sometimes, it’s hard to believe what you’re holding is made by ASUS.​

Update: 2025 年 4 月 23 日

我现在已经可以用上述方法很娴熟地唤醒华硕显示器，包括彻底关闭显示器电源之后重新启动的情况。以前，看到华硕显示器显示没有侦测到信号的时候，我会选择关机。现在我根本不会理会，而是会打开显示器 OSD 菜单，进入信号选择页面。只要进入并且再关闭，显示器就会进入寻找信号模式，在这个期间，我会继续点击我插在华硕显示器上的鼠标，然后显示器亮起---一切正常。

Update: April 23, 2025

I can now easily wake my ASUS monitor, even after fully powering it off and restarting. Before, I’d shut down when seeing “No Signal Detected.” Now, I ignore it, open the monitor’s OSD menu, and go to the signal selection page. After exiting, the monitor searches for a signal. I click the mouse connected to the monitor, and the screen turns on, working perfectly.
